What visitors see.
The chat from your customer's side. Answers with sources, photos and files, and a person when they need one.
This is what your customers see when they open the chat on your website.
Asking a question
The chat button sits in the bottom right corner. When a visitor opens it, they see a note that answers are written by AI, your welcome message and the suggested questions. They tap a question or type their own.
Each answer shows sources used. A tap opens the passages and a link to the page, so customers can read the details themselves.
Sending photos and files
The paperclip button attaches a photo or a document: JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF photos, PDFs, and TXT, CSV, DOCX or XLSX files, up to 10 MB. The agent reads what's in it together with the message, so a customer can simply send a photo of the problem.
Talking to a person
Talk to a person is always at the bottom of the chat. When a visitor presses it, or when the agent decides a teammate should help, the chat says a teammate has been asked to join. The header shows Waiting for the team, then A teammate is replying once someone takes over in the inbox.
Teammates' messages are marked with your team's name, so customers can tell them from the AI. Visitors can keep the page open or come back later: the conversation is still there.
Actions and confirmations
If the agent has integrations, it can look things up in your systems while it answers, like an order's status. Before it changes anything, such as starting a return, the chat shows a card with the details. Nothing happens until the customer presses Confirm. If an action needs the customer to sign in to your system, the chat shows a sign-in button that opens your system's own page. Their password never passes through the chat.
Starting over
Start a new chat begins a fresh conversation. The old one stays in your inbox. A conversation also survives page reloads and moving between pages on your site.
